Core Tasks
In your role, you support the officer responsible for the commission in implementing the technical, content-related, and organizational aspects of the commission. In consultation with your line manager, you collaborate on planning, steering, and monitoring tasks related to activities and measures. You also respond promptly and competently to matters within your assigned thematic area, where applicable in consultation with experienced specialists, and remain available for follow-up inquiries after consultation.
You may be assigned individual tasks related to project administration and implementation. You participate in the conceptual design of the project, in particular its modification or realignment. You provide technical and substantive contributions to cross-cutting issues in cooperation with commissioning parties/clients, partners, and other stakeholders, thereby supporting strategy development.
Main Activities
Conceptual development and knowledge management:
Support the conceptual design of activities on sustainable finance (e.g., taxonomy dialogues, capacity-building formats, market assessments).
Activity implementation and reporting:
Draft activity concepts and implementation notes; coordinate inputs from stakeholders; ensure timely follow-up and action tracking.
Support the organization and delivery of project activities (workshops, trainings, consultations, studies), including logistical preparation, agenda setting, participant management, and on-site facilitation.
Contribute to results-based monitoring (data collection, indicator tracking) and compile inputs for internal and donor reporting (progress reports, brief updates, success stories).
Event organization and stakeholder engagement:
Support planning and execution of events (virtual and in-person), including venues, travel, contracts, materials, and technical setup; manage invitations and communications.
Prepare briefings, presentations, meeting minutes, and outcome summaries; maintain stakeholder databases and distribution lists.
Project management support:
Maintain and update work plans, activity schedules, and trackers; support budget tracking and procurement processes in line with GIZ rules.
Coordinate with implementing partners, consultants, and vendors; prepare Terms of Reference (ToR), coordinate selection processes, and manage deliverables and timelines.
Conduct targeted desk research and compile best practices; draft concise concept notes, factsheets, and website/news content.
Maintain structured documentation and shared repositories; contribute to internal learning and after-action reviews.
Requirements
University degree (Bachelor’s/Master’s) in economics/finance, public policy, environmental economics, sustainability management, or a related field.
Initial professional experience in finance, international development cooperation, or activity/project implementation.
Strong planning and coordination skills with high attention to detail; ability to produce clear documentation and reports.
Excellent command of English, both written and spoken (minimum C1 level); German is an advantage; Bahasa Indonesia or another ASEAN language is a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint/Teams; Excel trackers); strong intercultural communication and teamwork skills; willingness to travel within the ASEAN region.
